The vehicle kiln differs from the standard kiln in that it is lightened, but still constructed of low vault refractory materials consisting of a high percentage of alumina, so too are the mortar and binders.
Alumina is a mineral with great hardness and high melting point, used for the preparation of refractories, and is able to withstand very high temperatures and considerable temperature changes without deforming or cracking.
A refractory brick with a high percentage of alumina has high thermal, impact, and thermal shock resistance, resulting in energy savings. The dome of mobile kilns is reinforced and supported by electro-welded mesh, which is attached to the base of the kiln, this makes it possible to move the kiln with a hot firing chamber without having to worry about causing damage.
SORRENTO BISCOTTO PLATE: refractory stone made of natural clay with excellent combustion properties typical of the Neapolitan area. Sorrento Biscuit allows a large amount of heat to be stored and distributed evenly, so that the temperature remains constant. Being a material with high porosity, it is subject to greater maintenance.
REFRACTORY PLATE: Special shapes made of pressed refractory clay, characterized by excellent resistance to thermal shock and high load-bearing capacity with excellent yield, homogeneous temperature.
